Ingredients
  

  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika may substitute sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon table salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper

Equipment

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Airtight container for storage

Method
 

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a small bowl.
  2. Whisk everything together until the spices are evenly mixed and there are no clumps.
  3. Use right away or store in an airtight container until needed. This amount is perfect for seasoning about 1 pound of ground meat and can be used anywhere you would normally use a taco seasoning packet.
